PRINCIPAL AcfiviTIES
The chariLible company ('Ihe company.) is a self supporting associaiion which operdtes within ihe
administrdtive area setv¢d by Airedale Health Auihoriiy and Brddford Care Trust 10 provide support for
Ihose experiencing mental health diificuliies ihrough thc provision of supported accommodalion. The
company is governed by the managemeni committee in accordance wilh its memorandum and articles of
associaiion and a 5tat¢menl of inlent. The management committee has overdll responsibility for the operation
of the company.
Trustees are appointed b). majority vote of Ihe management committee considering eligibility and personal
competence. Trustees are encouraged to seek appropriate training if necessary and new trusiees are inducted
into the workings of the charity by meeiing with oiher trusiees.
OBJECTIVES
Vhen planning objectives for Ihe year. Ihe irusiees consider ihe Charity Commissiijner s guidance on public
benefit. The object of the associaiion is the assistance of its clienis who. because of Iheir mental condition,
arc unable lo support ihemselves ar￿ who are in serious necessitous circUmsth￿es. Clients are referred by
stakeholders including the local health authority and social services.

Airedale Homes Pn)jecl provides 5UPPOrted housing accon)modation io adults recovering from sever¢ and
enduring mental h￿Ilh Illness.
We enable service users io d¢v¢lop their own self_car¢ and daily living skills such as shopping, cooking
and budgeiing $0 they mighi bctter manage when ihey return to indep¢ndeni living.
Ive do however have a small number of ienanis who have speni considcrable time with our Project and are
unlikelylunablc to manage ￿'ithou1 thc type of support we can olter and there are few similar resources
available.
The project currenily provides supported ￿comMOdatIon in property locaied in North and Ivest Yorkshire.
During the year we acted as Managing Agents for one 'Placcs for People, Property in West Yorkshire.
