The Friends of Holy Cross Church Satratt Trustees, Report for the year ended 31 December 2024 The trustees present their annual report and financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2024. Principal activities The principal activity of the Charity (charity no. l 018991) is to raise funds for the preservatio maintenance. restoration, replacement.. improvement or ornamentation of Holy Cross Church. SarratL The Charity holds a number of fund-raising events during the year. Grants During th¢ y¢ar the Charity made grants of £35,668 (£13,780 - 2023) to the PCC of Holy Cross Church, Sarratt for th¢ pr¢s¢rVatiO improvement and maintenance of the church. Preparation of accounts This report is prepared in accordance with the special provisions of the statements of recommended practice for ckwities. Statement by the treasurer En 2024 we held our usual events and in November included a new one, a 60s,70s & 80s Disco. A total of £23,988 was raised from ¢v¢nts, donations. interest and gift aid and we thank all those who have supported the events and those who made donations. The Friends contributed towards the general repairs and maintenance in the church and made a donation of £5,000 following The Flower Festival. The Friends have agreed to help fund the new heating system" at the end of the year they had paid £29,800 and the fu1 payment of £1 0,879 was made on 2nd January 2025. Richard Cawdron Hon. Treasurer
The Friends of Holy Cross Church Sarratt Statement of trustees, responsibilities Charity law requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each fmancial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affa2rs of the Charity and its profit and loss for that period. In preparing those financial statements, the trustees are required to: Select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently. Make judgments and estimth that are reasonable. State whether applicable accounting stsndards have been followed, subject to any material departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements. Prepare the financial statements on the going eAincern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the group will continue in operation. The trustees are responsible for the keeping of proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the Charity and to enable them to ¢nsure that the fllw]cial statements comply with the Statements of Recommended Practice for charities. Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner and basis of report As the charity's trustees you a responsible for the prqmration of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('Xhe Act"). It is my resp)nsibility to: examine the accounts under Section 145 of the Act to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission (under Section 145 (5b) of the Act: and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Independent Examiner's ststement I have completed my examination. I confirni that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination givlng me cause to believe that in any mat¢rial resp¢ct: (l ) Accounting records were not kept in respect of the Charity as required by section 130 of the Act; or (2) the accounts do not accord with those records or (3) the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the fonn and content of accounts set out in the ChltieS (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirment that the accounts giv¢ a 'tru¢ and fair view" which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
