The Trustees are appointed from amongst the members of the Rotary Club of Cambridge each year at the Annual General Meeting of the Club.

The Trust Fund only makes grants to registered charities or recognised charitable organisations for charitable purposes in the UK and abroad. 

Payments are approved by Club Council and submitted to the Trustees. 

Recipients for unrestricted funds are selected by the Club Council and Club Service Committees and may include causes supported by Rotary District 1080, (RotaryGBI) Rotary International in Great Britain & Ireland or (RI) Rotary International 

- relationship with any related parties; 

- trustees’ consideration of major risks and the system and procedures to manage them.

**Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document** 

The governing document - the Trust Deed of 12th October 1972 sets out the aims as “for the relief of the poor and needy or to or for such other charitable purpose institution society or object as the Rotary Club of Cambridge shall in duly constituted meeting from time to time direct. 

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit  in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)** 

The trustees confirm that they have referred to the guidance contained in the Charity Commission’s general guidance on public benefit when reviewing the Trust Fund’s aims and objectives and in planning future activities and setting the grant making policy for the year. The Trust Fund carried out these objects by making grants to charitable bodies to assist them in the furtherance of their charitable aims. The trustees consider that the grants made in the year are for public benefit both in the UK and Internationally for: The relief of poverty and needy; The saving of lives especially disaster relief; The advancement of education; religion; health; citizenship; community development; conflict resolution and reconciliation. The encouragement of the understanding of Environmental Matters including Climate Change.

The main beneficiaries have been: The Rotary Foundation Cambridge Aid ShelterBox Arthur Rank Hospice Charity BBC Children in Need Three African Schools benefitted from the proceeds of our annual schools carol concerts. Freedom School, Kenya Solomon Qatyana Primary School, South Africa Kamatarisi Primary School, Uganda

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **DD / MM / YYYY** . 

- **Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

**Independent** I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention (other than that disclosed below *) in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: 

- accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or
