Financial Review
Review of the Charity's
financial position al the end
of the period
Par8 1.21
The year ending 20 August 2025 wag 8
considerably good for the preschool as we
saw a steady increase in the number of
childrèn.
This year, funding lolalling £98,557 {2024-
£87.5271 was re￿iVed from Somersel
County Council in respect of the preschool
services provided lo the community.
Fundraising this year was did increase due
to the events we had with the preschool
communty. Therefore. Fees from parents,
other fun¢Jraising activities. pelly cash
received, and a small amount of interest
contributed additional income of £25,707
Toial income to for the year wa5 £124.264
12024- £114,097}
The largest expense in the year continues
to be the wages of the prèschool staff. with
the new N8tional Minirnum wage we had to
make an increase in staff wages. We did
ave a lower number of staff.
The l(rtal cost lo the Charity was £100,492
12024- £95.7051 which represents over
85Vo of the Charitls totsl expenditure in the
year.
As a result of the above the pr8-sthool has
returned a surplus of £7.02712024- £7801

Rislng Operational Costs:
Increases to the national minimum wage
and pension contributions have pul
additional pressure on staffing costs.
Recruiting and retaining qualified
praclilioners is becoming increasingty
challenging. At the same lime, the cost of
maintaining our facilities and purchasing
educational resources continues to rise
each year.
Maintaining Flnancial Stabillty:
Balancing high-quality care with
affordability lor families remains an ongoing
challenge. To remain financially
sustainable, we rely on maintaining al least
30 children on roll throughout the year. Any
reduction in numbers h8s a direct impact on
our ability to cover essential running costs.
Prolected Drop in Numbers:
We also anticipate a significant number of
children transrtioning lo school in
September ol the next financial year. This
expecled reduction in enrolmenl is likely to
affocl our income and will require Careful
