initiatives to reduce crime and the fear of CrEn￿ to make County Durlwn and Darlington become a safe place to worK
live and invesL The cbariry responds to meet the needs of Communities and now focwses on working towards long terni
bange. by ethicating, cballenging behaviour5 and acts as a catalyst to local action by managing and facilitating
integrated crime prevention and cominuty safety programll￿s across CO￿ Durbam and Darlington.
Its award WiDning projects have received regional and national recognitio￿ ￿l¢b bave adapted to n)eet local needs and
trends with huge success. The clwity relies on forging strong p)sitive partnerships with various organisations who
support the agency ensllring subst2nti21 outcomes.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Reserves polficy
The clwity aims to tetain sufficient free reserves OD band to facilitate the ongoing administration of the organisation for
al least a period of 12 nK*nths. At 31 March 2025 this would apwoxinute to £287.000. At 31 March 2025. the free
reserves were £134,434, excluding fixed assets, wbich Vds sufficient to fund appToximately six Mollt￿ of administration
cxpcnscs. Thc charity cotttiti￿S to activcly sKk ttew sources of fimding to n￿Intain free rescr¥e5 at the tsrsctcd l¢Y¢l.
The chartty receives the benefit of certain sraff costs, includmg the execulive manw and apprentice youth workers. No
monetary amounts arc rccoTdcd in the fillancial statements to r¢flect the market value of the financial benefit to the
charity.

The cbarity held fi￿d balances at the bank at 31 March 2025 of £246.783. OC these balances. £1 (KJ,772 were restricted
fimds donated by companies. individuals. and other agencies to be used for specific activities. The balance of £146,011
unr¢strict¢d funds is to meet the runt)ing costs of the agency.
Donations continue to be re￿iVed from individuals. companies and other sources to Meet the admirithtion costs of the
chariry. During the y¢ar to 31 Marcb 2025 UDres(ricted income exceeded unresuicted expenses by £45,573. The
director5 are aware that an admirristration charge can be levied on the restri¢tcd funds if administration costs are not
going to be met by unrestricted income.
