## **TRUSTEES’ ANNUAL REPORT**

## **YEAR ENDED 31 AUGUST 2024**

The trustees have the pleasure in presenting their report and the unaudited financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 August 2024.

## **OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES**

the relief of disabled or invalid persons resident in the urban district of Long Eaton and the parishes of Breaston, Draycott, Borrowash, Chaddesden, Risley and Sandiacre and the former parishes of Stapleford and Toton.

## **SUMMARY OF THE MAIN ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN RELATION TO THESE OBJECTS**

In planning our activities for the year we kept in mind the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit at our trustees meetings.

## **ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE**

Our charity has been operating for 65 years. Our principal activities are taking our members on trips and to meals. Our ability to do this has been greatly enhanced by a significant donation made to us during the year, for which we are very grateful.

The charity does not have its own premises but on the 2[nd] Tuesday of every month we hire Sawley Community Hall for a concert evening.

Originally, we ran 3 trips a year, but now with the reserves we hold we are having a trip every month. The trips are often to garden centres and then somewhere for tea. The coach we use always has a lift, so that it can be used for people who are between their late 70’s to their 90’s. We have two pick up points to reduce costs.

The management committee meets once a year to plan future activities.

## **FINANCIAL REVIEW**
