The year l April 2023 10 31 March 2024 has generally been a year of progress and success. Our shared Iwi(h

additional slreams of funding which eventually rL.duced our final deficit from a predicted £90,941 10 £?6.4?8.
Using a Treasury-approved Inodel we generated £3.05 in savings lo govemmeni and public 5ervi¢¢s for every
£ 1.00 ii)vested.
On Isl April )023 we had ?? volunteer staff linLluding 4 Truslccs) and on 3151 March 2024 ￿'e had ?7

Our Area Services Manager correctly emphasises that our volunteers are our strengyth and every one of them has
soinething to offer lo the service. Due to ihe hig'h dLmdnd for our servicc both face to face and by phone, and
ensuring we are reaching oui into our community.. we will always need more volunteers. However, the fact that

The charity is required to ensure that free monies are available in each financial year lo meet any reasonable
foreseeable contingency. The chariry maintains a projcciion of income for at least three years ahead and aims to
enslire that this continues to be derived from as wide a variet), of sources as possible. The Trustees will take all

the cessation of one or n)ore fijiiding streanis to preseiit so serious a challenge lo the future of the organisaiion

In reviewing the poiential costs that could arise, should a significant reduction in income be incurred and given
the prevailing economic climate within Torbay, the Trustees hai'c deteniiinLd that "free" resepdes should be
niaiiitained equal to at leasi six months normal opcrating expenditure. In addition. as part of an a(yreed
