The main activities undertaken by Oasis Church for the public benefrt
are weekly Sunday services. These advance the Christian faith by
worshipping God, Bible teaching, preaching and sharing in times of
ministry of prayer and healing. In addition, each Thursday The Oasis
House of Prayer meets where people can come to worship God and pray
together. Each Thursday before the House of Prayer a Bible study is held
which gives an opportunity for learning about the Christian faith.
Several informal discipleship groups run. These vary in size and
frequency but all aim to give teaching and guidance in how to live as a
Christian and to answer any questions which arise.
Under the 'Advancement of the Christian Faith, the aims of Oasis Church
are first to worship God and then to bring people to wholeness and a
transformed life by following the teachings in the Bible. We also
encourage people to Sha￿ this faith with those they come into contact
with.
The secondary alms of Oasis Church are
mending lives (many people who come to us have
darnagedlbroken lives from past experiences and hurts)
2. sending them out to influence society for good as they themselves
experience healing
3. opening doors of opportunity for Godly a￿1VitieS wherever they
live, work or are being educated

Achievements and performance
Summary of the main
achievements of the charlty
during the yoar
During the year weekly Sunday serrfices have been held. These services
included worship, Bible teaching and prayer. Each Sunday the service is
recorded and distributed via WhatsApp to a group of people who have
registered to receive these messages.
The Oasis House of Prayer continued to meet regularly each Thursday.
This provided an opportunity for people to meet together to worship God
and to pray for individuals, communities and other countries.
There are many stories of lives being changed and of people being
healed. Healing includes physical healing, such as for specific pain or
illness, but also mental and emotional healing, especially healing for
anxiety and stress. There have been many stories of people feeling a
special sense of peace and calm when attending the church.
Sever81 informal small groups meet together either in person or via
Zoom. These provide Bible teaching, prayer and support. The support will
indude both spiritual and practical support.
As a public declaration of farth in Jesus. and following attendance at a
baplism class, baptisms are held on a regular basis.
We offer financial and prayer support for a Christian family and working
with an immigrant population from east Africa in Leicester..
We support asylum seekers and refugees from many nations offering
prayer and support to them as they seek asylum in the UK. We support
and nebwork with other refugee organisations in the city, like 'Restore'.
Many of Ihese asylum seekers often offer to help Oasis Church by giving
practical help such as assisting with serving refreshments, setting out
chairs, decorating and cleaning. In this way they become an integral and
very important part of the church family. As many of the asylum speakers
are Farsi speakers, whenever possible we provide a translation of the
main ser4ices. Farsi and Kurdish Bibles are offered, free of charge, to
Asylum seekers.
Many people attend Oasis Church for the first time because they are
invited to do so by a friend, often a fellow asylum seeker. This low key
way is one example of how the objective of advanang the Christian faith
is achieved.
Oasis Church is multi-cultural, with a mix of African, Caribbean, Asian,
other Asian, white and mixed-race members.

Resp8ctlve The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts.
responsibillties of The charty's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year
tru8ta•8 and •xaminor under section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the 1993 Act) and that an
independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibilty to:
examine the accounts under section 43 of the 1993 Act,
to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the
Charity Commission (under section 43(7Xb) of the 1993 Act, and
to state whether partKular matters have ca)me to my attention.
Ba818 of Independent My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given
oxaminer's statement by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the
accounting records kept by the charty and a comparison of the accounts
presented with those records. It 8180 includes consideration of any unusual
items or disclosures in the accounts. and seeking explanations from the
trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not
provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and
consequentty no opinion is given as lo whether the accounts present a 'tru8
and fairf view and the report is limrted to those matters set out in the
statement below.
Independent In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention
examlnerfs statement
which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in, any material respect,
the requirements:
to keep accounting records in accordance with section 41 of the 1993
Act: and
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and
compty with the accounting requirements of the. 1993 Act
have not been met . or
2. to which, in my opinion, attention shoukl be drawn in order to enable a
proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
