|---|---|---|
|Review of the charity’s
financial position at the end
of the period|Para 1.21|**The financial position at the end of**
**September 2023 was particularly strong**
**because of a single grant of £15000**
**received during the year as well as £8000**
**being donated to the Club from the**
**fundraising activities of one member.**|
|Statement explaining the
policy for holding reserves
stating why they are held|Para 1.22|**We are reliant on grants to maintain our**
**financial viability. By their very nature,**
**these are irregular and some grant**
**making bodies will not award grants to**
**charities with too large a bank balance.**
**The main financial risk to the charity is a**
**sustained lack of success in applying for**
**grants**
**combined**
**with**
**reduced**
**donations. Reserves are held to cover at**
**least 12 months operational costs to**
**allow time for fundraising and grant**
**applications.**|
|Amount of reserves held|Para 1.22|**Cash in hand at the bank was £30,369 on**
**30/9/2023, all of which was unrestricted**
**funds. This is enough to keep the Club**
**going for about three years with no other**
**income.**|
