The biggest fundraising event was the London to Paris (adult) sponsored bike ride which raised a total of £15k and this was followed by the Heath for Health ‘Fun Run’ which raised £9.5k this year.

Our events are only possible with the support of volunteers. The charity would like to pass on our gratitude to all the parents who stepped up and took charge of the events. We also greatly appreciate those who led many successful activities to help the school flourish particularly with the creation of new sensory garden, new gym equipment and other efforts to help our charity run effectively.

We would not be able to host so many events without the fabulous support of the staff at John Ball primary school particularly those in facilities, office, catering and all teaching teams. Finally, we have continued support from local business Hamptons, who sponsor the Heath for Health, and Easter Egg signs, and many firms who have donated prizes to our festive raffle and summer tombola and provided match funding.

Over the year, we have encouraged the John Ball community to make greater use of Easy Fund Raising and where possible, Match Funding. These platforms combined contributed more than £6k in the year. We have also updated our website to include more details of match funding: the school community is encouraged to check as their company may be listed, and we thank members of our school community who have gained match funding.

For the financial year-end 2024-2025, ‘The Friends of John Ball Association’ funded a new sensory garden and children’s gym equipment in the KS2 playground to a total of £31,367.60.
