## **Friends of John Ball Association** ## **Trustee's Report 2022-2023** The Friends of John Ball Association present their annual report and accounts for the year ended 31 July 2023 and confirm they comly with the Charities Act 2011. Year Ended 31 July 2023. The registration number is 1017014 and the registered address is: John Ball Primary School Southvale Road London SE3 0TP ## **Membership and Charity Structure** Membership of the Friends is deemed to extend to all stall, teaching and non-teaching, and all parents The charity holds an Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the first half of the autumn term each year which The Trustees are elected annually at the AGM in accordance with the constitution, and the trustees for Chair: Aparajita Bose Treasurer: Penny Boulyaphol Co-Secretary: Debbie Bowen ## **Objectives** The objective of the Friends Charity is to advance the education of the pupils in the school. In a. Develop relationships between the staff, parents and the others associated with the school. b. Engage in activities with the support of the school and advance the education of the pupils attending it. - c. Provide and assist in the provision of facilities for the education at the school. ## **Activities, achievements and performance** The charity runs a variety of events through out the school year to raise funds for John Ball School: > Cake Sale > Heath for Health Fun run > Summer Fair > International Food Night to welcome new parents > Quiz Night > Halloween Disco > Christmas Fair > London to Bruges Bike Ride > Pizza Night > Other fundraising efforts include, easyfundraising, Amazon Smile.. The Charity has with the support of the parents and volunteers raised £33,086 from fund raising and organising events. The biggest fund raising event was: - The London to Bruge ride raised £8,153 and increased from £5k the previous year. Congratulations to the inspiring riders. - Heath for Health Fun Run raised £5,330, we are so thrilled to be give back to the community and support two charities along the way. - The Summer Fair tempted the sun out and saw a record number of families at event, raising £4,915. For the financial year 2022 to 2023, John Ball School requested fundings of £92,228, which was approved by the trustees.
