## **Trustee's Report 2021-2022** 

The Friends of John Ball Association present their annual report and accounts for the year ended 31 July Year Ended 31 July 2022.

## **Membership and Charity Structure** 

Membership of the Friends is deemed to extend to all stall, teaching and non-teaching, and all parents 

The charity holds an Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the first half of the autumn term each year which The Trustees are elected annually at the AGM in accordance with the constitution, and the trustees for

## **Objectives** 

The objective of the Friends Charity is to advance the education of the pupils in the school. In a. Develop relationships between the staff, parents and the others associated with the school. b. Engage in activities with the support of the school and advance the education of the pupils attending it. 

c. Provide and assist in the provision of facilities for the education at the school. 

## **Activities, achievements and performance** 

The charity runs a variety of events through out the school year to raise funds for John Ball School: > Cake Sale 

> Heath for Health Fun run 

> Summer Fair 

> International Food Night to welcome new parents 

> Quiz Night 

> Halloween Disco 

> Christmas Fair 

> London to Amsterdam Bike Ride 

> Pizza Night 

> Other fundraising efforts include, easyfundraising, Amazon Smile.. 

The Charity has with the support of the parents and  volunteers raised £40,274 from fund raising and organising events, the charity has also received a generous gift donation of £40,000 from a John Ball Parent, taking the total raised by the charity this year to £80,273 



The huge increase from previous year is due to the new events: 

- The London to Amsterdam bike ride raise £5,480 

- The John Ball Auction rasied £753 

- Pizza Night rasied £333 

The calender year saw an increase in money raised from all activities due to more parents attending events after Covid/lockdown. The Heath for Health fun run was a huge success with over 430  runners attending and the summer fair saw a huge volumne of parents/carers on the day. 

For the financial year 2021 to 2022, John Ball School have yet to request funding from the Association, this is due to the change in priorities, the school needed to reassess their needs after covid. This is reflected in the large sum held in the charity's account.
