## **Achievements and Performance**
Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole.

In 2024/2025 the PTA delivered a busy calendar of fundraising and community events, generating total gross income of £56,238 and net income of £37,574 after costs. This was only possible thanks to the continued generosity and support of St Matthew’s families, staff and the wider Raynes Park community.
These funds have directly enhanced the educational experience of all pupils and helped strengthen the sense of community across the school.
## **Main Events**
Our larger annual events remained the backbone of our fundraising, together generating a net surplus of around £19,000.
- The Light Festival raised £3,551 net.
- The Christmas Fair and associated seasonal activities, including a Wreath Night, were our most successful winter fundraisers, producing £6,723 net. This included a new Rock Night for parents at The Cavern, which generated over £850.
- The School Disco was another highlight, with a net return of £1,740.
- Unfortunately, Quiz Night was cancelled; however, thanks to the generosity of parents, carers and staff, ticket income (net of refunds) was £309.
- The Summer Fair, our biggest single fundraiser, delivered £6,388 net.
## **Smaller Events and Activities**
A varied programme of smaller activities proved both popular and effective, together raising a net total of £7,617. These included:
- Readathon (£1,461) and Plant Sale (£1,037), supporting both learning for our children and community involvement.
- Cake sales (£1,006), movie nights (£1,775) and ice lolly sales (£759), were especially enjoyed by the children.
- Second-hand uniform sales (£496) and our new clothes recycling unit (£249) also promoted sustainability.
- The Easter Egg tombola, where the PTA again funded the eggs rather than requesting donations, resulted in a small loss of £6. Events such as this ensure inclusivity.
- In addition, by using a new high-interest business savings account, the PTA generated £213 in interest income during the year.
## **External Funding and Support**
We continue to be grateful for sums donated by local businesses and members of the school community.
- Sponsorship cash receipts totalled £3,610, with Coombe Estate Agents continuing their generous support.
- We were also grateful for workplace donations and direct contributions from parents and carers, which provided valuable additional support and raised £1,670.
## **Sports Fund**
The Sports Fund continued this year, raising £6,527 through the half marathon and a walk organised by parents and carers.
## **Impact on St Matthew’s School:**
Thanks to this success, the PTA was able to donate over £56,625 to St Matthew’s School in 2024/2025. These funds were used to provide:
- Reading materials, educational resources and online subscriptions, as well as printing and school administration costs.
- 30 Chromebooks for classroom use.
- An upgrade to the Wi-Fi throughout the school.
- Replacement sports equipment.
- A Christmas pantomime to celebrate the festive season.
- Termly Amazon vouchers for teachers to spend on their classes, tailored to individual needs.
- Funding for external sporting events and additional staff to support participation.
## **Wider Benefit to St Matthew’s**
The PTA’s activities have not only delivered financial support but also built stronger community bonds. Events have brought together parents, carers, staff, children, and local businesses, creating a vibrant and supportive school environment. The funds raised have ensured all pupils benefit from enhanced learning and enrichment opportunities, while the community at large has enjoyed inclusive and memorable events throughout the academic year.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended**30/09/2025**.
As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011
(“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity
Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have
come to my attention in connection with the examination (other than that
disclosed below *) which gives me cause to believe that in, any material
respect:
