Objectives and activities
To advance the mental, physical and welfare of the children in our care, promoting their personal development. We are fully inclusive and welcome all children 2yrs - 5yrs into our setting.
Summary of main activities
We are working hard to implement all areas of the EYFS.
All staff have completed the 12hr paediatric first aid course inline with their CPD. The six year safeguarding pathway is being followed.
We tailor our planning to meet the needs of the children in the setting daily, regardless of, faith, or personal background. We develop positive relationships with our parents and carers. We value all children as individuals and celebrate Britain’ diversity. We monitor our children to make sure they are happy and healthy and moving forward.
We have policies in place for all aspects of safeguarding, child protection and health and safety. We use staff training meetings to ensure all staff are fluent in these.
Achievements and Performance.
As our children are predominantly funded by LCC the monies going into the account is stable. We monitor monthly expenditure and cash flow. All our practitioners continue to complete training.
We continue to complete audits and review policies annually in line with recommendations of the PLA.
The school has given us permission to use their Forest school on a Monday morning, so we can give the children outdoor activities that they wouldn’t get at home.
We have purchased outdoor waterproof clothing and wellies for them to use. They particularly enjoy seeing the chicken’s rabbits and guinea pigs. So to see them explore these resources has improved their attention and engagement.
We have purchased new books and shower curtain backdrops to enhance our dinosaur land and sensory areas to help support imaginative play.
Financial review
Cash at bank at 31/08/22 was £16,913 and all of these finds were unrestricted.
The main financial risk to the charity is loss of funding from the local council.
These funds are held to cover 12 months of operational costs in the event of a loss of income and to meet any unforeseen expenditure that may occur.
