**Independent** [The charity’s gross income exceeded £250,000 and I am qualified to **examiner's statement** undertake the examination by being a qualified member of [insert name of applicable listed body]]. _Delete_ [ ] _if not applicable._

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination (other than that disclosed below *) which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: • the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or

- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or

- • the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

## **Objectives and Activities of the PTA**

The purpose of the PTA is to enable community enrichment through fun and fundraising. This is achieved by engaging in activities or providing facilities and/or equipment that supports the School and advances the education of the pupils. The PTA shall develop effective relationships, cooperation and communication between the staff, School Board, parents and others associated with the School.

## **Summary of achievements**

During the 2021/22 year the PTA raised £33,334 (2020/2021: £10,136; 2019/2020: £17,714: 2018/19: £26,926). This was an increase on prior years due to the various lockdowns and social distancing requirements impacting PTA events in the 2020/21 and 2019/20 school years. In total the PTA spent £9,973 (2020/21: £3,008; 2019/2020: £53,876; 2018/19: £2,149) on school activities.

## **Income**

As a result of social distancing requirements lifting, several successful events were organized by the PTA with the support of volunteers and the School. The standout events for the 2021/22 year were the inaugural Colour Run which raised a net amount of £6,041 and the return of the Fireworks event which raised a net amount of £6,510.

## **Expenditure**

Overall expenditure during 2020/21 was £9,973 on items which are generally incurred each year (listed on the following page). General expenditure for the PTA was £2,566 (2020/21: £545; 2019/20: £322; 2018/19: £137).

The PTA has been able to support Stamford Green Primary School thanks to the amazing efforts of its members, volunteers and the staff and pupils of the School – a heartfelt thanks to all involved.
