REDRESS is a human rights organisation that helps torture survivors obtain justice and reparation. REDRESS works with survivors to help restore their dignity and to make torturers accountable. We seek a variety of remedies, including restitution, compensation, rehabilitation, satisfaction and guarantees of non-repetition.

Objects: 3.1 The objects of the Charity are, for the public benefit,3.1.1 to promote, throughout the world, the rehabilitation and protection of persons who are, or at any time have been, victims of torture and to assist them, and where appropriate their families, in gaining redress for their suffering;3.1.2 to provide financial assistance to victims of torture in need, throughout the world, and legal assistance to such of them seeking redress from whatever source;3.1.3 to seek the enforcement wherever possible of the right of the victims of torture to fair and adequate compensation;3.1.4 to procure the abolition of torture by all lawful means including without limitation providing information and other assistance to states or governments prosecuting torturers and those who conspire with them; and3.1.5 to further such other exclusively charitable purposes according to the law of England and Wales as the Trustees in their absolute discretion from time to time determine.
