**Objects:** 1) TO SECURE THE PRESERVATION PROTECTION DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE FEATURES OF THE HISTORIC AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT AND HERITAGE OF THE AREA OF SALISBURY NEAR THE CATHEDRAL AND IN PARTICULAR THE CATHEDRAL CLOSE ITS SETTING AND  FEATURES OF PUBLIC INTEREST 2) TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE HISTORIC AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT HERITAGE AND SETTING AND FEATURES OF PUBLIC INTEREST OF THAT AREA.

**Activities:** The Society's aim is to preserve the unique quality of Salisbury Cathedral Close for future generations, and to educate the public about the history, buildings, environment and wildlife of The Close.  The Society normally organises an annual lecture to promote interest in and support for its objectives.  The Society may also make grants towards the costs of preserving and enhancing The Close.
