## **Achievements and Performance**

No external grants were received from for the Brass Band Fund during the year. GOSA aims to continue with its commitment to make available £5,000 per year as needed to secure the on-going future of the Brass Band, either through specific fundraising or through allocation of general funds. GOSA is happy to confirm the project “Leaves for Leavers” that is running for more than ten years is being fully supported by the 



Association and do not require any additional approval in the future. This will help to continue the beautiful tradition in the school. As in previous years, GOSA funded a youth hostel bedding supplement for the Y6 School Journey and Y6 leavers t-shirts.

## **1 Accoun琀椀ng Policies** 

Basis of accoun琀椀ng: 

The Financial statements have been prepared in accordance with applicable accoun琀椀ng standards and under the historical cost accoun琀椀ng rules. 

Income and expenditure regula琀椀on: 

All income and expenditure incurred is charged to the income and expenditure account on a cash accoun琀椀ng basis, adjusted for material accruals and prepayments. 

## **2 Income this Year** 

The 昀椀scal year 2022 2023 presented unique challenges due to a widespread price crisis and an overall rise in in昀氀a琀椀on, impac琀椀ng the 昀椀nancial landscape. Despite these economic headwinds, the charity successfully navigated the di昀케cul琀椀es and organized several impac琀昀ul fundraising events throughout the year. Notable highlights include: 

The Fun Run, a 昀氀agship event for our organiza琀椀on, con琀椀nued to be a signi昀椀cant source of fundraising. Despite economic uncertain琀椀es, the community's enthusias琀椀c par琀椀cipa琀椀on contributed to the event's success. The School Photos ini琀椀a琀椀ve not only captured moments but also became an essen琀椀al fundraising avenue. The community's par琀椀cipa琀椀on in this unique fundraising approach showcased the adaptability and crea琀椀vity of our supporters. The Winter Fair, another key fundraising ini琀椀a琀椀ve, provided a pla琀昀orm for community engagement and support. The event not only raised funds but also fostered a sense of unity and collabora琀椀on among par琀椀cipants. The Night Quiz event, designed for entertainment and intellectual engagement, not only brought community members together but also contributed to our fundraising e昀昀orts during a challenging economic climate. The Friday baking stalls emerged as a surprising success, showcasing the crea琀椀vity and dedica琀椀on of our community members. The posi琀椀ve response to these stalls signi昀椀cantly contributed to our fundraising goals. 

Despite the prevailing economic condi琀椀ons, the charity's commitment to its mission and the unwavering support of the School resulted in a commendable 昀椀nancial performance. The funds raised through these events played a crucial role in sustaining our ini琀椀a琀椀ves. Overall raised funds for the year are thirty-four thousand eight hundred forty-six pounds. 

These highlights underscore the resilience of our community and the e昀昀ec琀椀veness of our fundraising strategies during a period of economic uncertainty and in昀氀a琀椀on. The charity remains grateful for the ongoing support and commitment of our parents,=]teachers, donors, volunteers, and the community at large. 

## **3 Spending this Year** 

GOSA was pleased to provide a School priority Grants to the school total of £15774. Every year GOSA members elect to provide funds for educa琀椀onal projects, trips, facili琀椀es and events requested by teachers and sta昀昀 at the school. As with the previous year, the total sum granted was higher. 

## **4 Future Commitments**

No external grants were received from for the Brass Band Fund during the year. GOSA aims to con琀椀nue with its commitment to make available £5,000 per year as needed to secure the on-going future of the Brass Band, either through speci昀椀c fundraising or through alloca琀椀on of general funds. This funding was not called upon during the year. 

As in previous years, GOSA funded Y6 leavers t-shirts and the Leavers Leaves described below. 

The Brass Band fund, GOSA’s funding priority, has a balance of £5000 as described above.
