**Objects:** TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC BY PROMOTING THE PERFORMANCE AND APPRECIATION OF EUROPEAN CLASSICAL MUSIC SYMPHONIC CHORAL AND CHAMBER PARTICULARLY IN THE TOWNSHIPS OF SOUTH AFRICA BY RESIDENTS OF SUCH TOWNSHIPS AND THE WORLDWIDE PUBLIC APPRECIATION OF SUCH PERFORMANCES AND GENERALLY TO PROMOTE CLASSICAL MUSICAL AND INSTRUMENTAL TRAINING TOGETHER WITH TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT OF CRAFTSMEN AND OTHERS TO REPAIR AND MAINTAIN CLASSICAL MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS OF RESIDENTS OF SUCH TOWNSHIPS; AND TO PROMOTE LIKE ACTIVITIES IN OTHER IMPOVERISHED REGIONS OF THE WORLD

**Activities:** Buskaid runs a Music School in Soweto, teaching violin, viola, cello and double bass to more than eighty young musicians aged between 4 and 25.  Funds for the School are raised through charitable trusts in South Africa, the USA and the UK.  In addition, Buskaid has supported students from the Music School who have been successful in gaining places for tertiary study at music college in the UK.
