advance the education of the pupils of
the school by providing and assisting in
the provision of facilities for the
education at the school (not normally

A full year of fundraising was enjoyed
this year Our most significant events
continue to be our June family fun night
raising a profit of £5,068 and our three
Disco events raising a total profit of
£7,070. This year the students
participated in the London Mini marathon
obtaining £3,172 in sponsorship for our
charity.

New funds were raised in a variety of
ways:
Parents gave one off payments {voluntary
contributions), some of which are eligible
for gift aid.
Local businesses supported us through
monetary contribution and lor raffle
prizes.
other events; Race night, Bingo night,
kids quiz and lasertag (provided by an
outside company for the school children),
Christmas gift shop, non uniform day
(Break the rules day), sports day and tuck
shop refreshment sales and themed treat
bags.
These funds have been used for the
refurbishrnent of the school toilets,
equipment for the school (sports & ICT),
educational and fun vlsits by external
roviders

Trustees have had regard to the guidance

funded by the charity have been to
enhance the educational learning of the
full range of pupils within Newnham
Junior School.

All parents or guardians of the children at
the school and all the teachers are
deemed to be voting members of the
association. The contribution by each
individual varies. A core group of
approximately 8 parents contribute to the
main planning of events, who are
strongly supported by the teaching staff.
Other parents also volunteer to run and
assist with events.
Newnham Junior School is a three form
entry public school in the London
Borough of Hillingdon. It has
approximately 360 pupils and occupies a
sin
le site.

Achievements and Performance

The additional educational provisions
made by the charity have enhanced the
learning J enjoyment and love of learning
in its pupils. The fundraising events
themselves have been dual purpose,
allowing the children to enjoy their
educational setting, bullding
relationships and confidence, as well as
raise funds to give them further
opportunities to learn. It has built
stronger bonds between parents and staff
which strengthens the understanding and
shared responsibility to nurture pupils
and assist them in achieving their
potential. More obvious achievements
have been the funds raised and the
supply of equipment and refurbishment
of the school facilities enhancing the
pupils. learning and the school
environment. As well as enrichment for
all students through the workshops and
experiences at educational trips.

A strong year of fundraising with £43,464
raised, which includes £4,199 donated as
voluntary contributions from parents.
The charity started the year with £34,673
spent £27,082 on school benefits, £4,199
donated to the school and ended the year
with £33 144.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charity ('Ihe Trust") for the year ended 3110812024.
Responsibilities and
basis of report
As the charity's trustees. you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordan￿ with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011
{"the Act.).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5){b) of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have
examiner's statement come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me
cause to believe that in. any material respect..
the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130
of the Charities Act; or
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements
Con￿rning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities
(Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement
that the accounts give a 'true and fair, view which is not a matter
considered as part of an independent examination.
