**Objects:** TO PROMOTE THE ARTS IN SOCIETY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE BOROUGH OF THURROCK BY DEVELOPING PUBLIC APPRECIATION OF THE ARTS AND BY IMPROVING PUBLIC ACCESS TO AND THE QUALITY OF THE ARTS AND IN PARTICULAR (BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING) BY:-  1. FACILITATING AND IMPROVING THE ACCESSIBILITY OF THE ARTS  2. IMPROVING STANDARDS OF EXECUTION AND APPRECIATION OF THE ARTS  3. ENCOURAGING AND ASSISTING IN PROMOTING AND ADVANCING THE PRACTICE, PRESENTATION AND STUDY OF THE ARTS; AND  4. BRINGING TOGETHER AND CO-ORDINATING THE EFFORTS OF LOCAL BODIES OF PERSONS WHETHER CORPORATE OR UNINCORPORATE CONCERNED OR INTERESTED IN THE ATTAINMENT OF ALL OR ANY OF THE OBJECTS OF THE COUNCIL.

**Activities:** Promoting the arts in society for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Borough of Thurrock by developing public appreciation of the arts.  This is achieved by facilitating and improving the accessibility of the arts, education and appreciation, and co-ordinating the efforts of local bodies in the attainment of the objects of the council.
