Objectives and activities
Summary of the purposes of the charity set out in its governing document The Playing field shall be held upon trust for the purposes of the Playing Field and Village Hall for the use of the inhabitants of the parish of Raskelf, without distinction of political religious or other opinions , including use for meetings lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants of Raskelf.
Summary of the main activities in relation to those purposes for the public benefit, in particular, the activities, projects or services identified in the accounts
Hall hire has been for fitness classes, functions; race night, curry night, bingo night, which have been organised by different organisations within the village, i.e. Church, Village hall committee, tennis club, Parish council meetings, coffee mornings, xmas dinner for seniors and private hire for Birthday parties.
The trustees consider that they have complied with their duties to have due regard to the public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission.
Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. Raskelf is a small rural community with a population of approx 560 residents. With very limited amenities, many in our community face challenges such as loneliness and isolation. The village hall and playing fields, play a vital role in addressing these issues, providing a place for socialising, connecting and exchange of information. Events to address these issues; coffee mornings, the seniors' xmas dinner and any of the before mentioned events.

Review of the charity’s financial position at the end of the period
The charity is in a sound financial situation and is embarking on a re-furbishment of the village hall. This has been enabled through a substantial Lottery fund grant and tireless fund raising

Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).
