and minutes circulated for aptKoval. Any decisions mtxed vigws of otxnion a￿ subsequenuy based on

Gul8ral Cultural Soaety l GCS } is a Regbsler&J CharityfourKled in 1992 Wh￿ mainly but not fimited lo East
Sussex area of the South Easl of England. With the develOp￿g Slatsjs of Brighton & Hove, GCS has extensiv8
members covering wider areas suth as lo name a lew. Hasting. Easttx)ume, Saltde8n, Seaford. Lan¢ing and
Worthing. The society inrtièlly was sel up to provide nthorking vrith the Gujar8ti community, with moving times
8nd increasing I￿lS on divetsity the soryety captur9s and provKles ￿e￿ice5 to w*Yer Hindu community
and non-Hindu married spou5e8. The swety provvjes support and indusion to family memtrRrs of GCS
Members who maybe liv￿9 outside the area covered by GCS. With the ￿CreasIng uptakè of thè GCS cuttural
and relig￿u5 activrties we intend to extend our membership to a ¥￿er &J&%ox ar8a.
Achlevements and Perfomianeè for y•ar
To open tha year o Mehfil N￿Jht. was organ￿1 in February 2023. This event was fm for GCS members, with
0 186 for non4nembers. This wa5 followed Marth wtth the annual r￿g￿)uS èvent of Holi celebrated at Brawool.
GCS initsated a weekly gel.togelher fr(yn April 2023 l￿war(L4 under the name of GCS Wednesday Club for its
S8r4or members to meet, greet, leam atmj share. tt has been a rea5 success and en￿Yed by those that attend
weekly. The ￿ganiZerS liaise with Brightcn Counal aThl arrange for various speakers to Att8rKI to t81k and
Heath and well-being. The numbers attending average over 30 $*Op￿ por weok. Sp¢¢ial thanks go lo Dr A
Shah and Kokilaben Metha organiye 8nd run the weekly group
GCS participated in the Annual Chattri Memonai Sèrv￿. which tc*)k ￿ace on 11th June 2023.
A various Religious Day & Bhajan were organiwj Ihanks to Dhirubhai L8mba and Variws organrLations-
Swaminarayan Temple, NCGO and Gujar* S8rnachar forthe community either al Tempte or vva zoom.
A Coach Trip was arranged to celebrdle the Tlth IndepèndÈncè Day of Indra. iidLxling a visit to Sanatan Hindu
MaThJir. GCS prowded subsbJEed tickets for mÈmb8ts.
GCS celebrated Navralri from 15th (Irt0t￿ to 24th October 2023. The event wa5 free for paKJ members and
students. with a nofflinal entry fee f￿ rNMHmembers
Tha year conduded vitth a celetrffition of at the Grand Hotel ￿ November.

lo end ol November 2023 stands at £2S,558 we intend to use for organising events for 2024 and to offset
against Increase in inflatM)n lor future events and any shortfal in short tem cash fknw. During the year we
received gen8rous Corporate 8nd individLJal donatK)n totaling some £5,355. GCS is vary ploased to see an
increase membership Inc￿Me to £6575 fmm £4600 last year has enabled it to organise more events
for its members.
Future Plans
GCS trUSt￿S int8nd to continuè to strengthen the skils and exp&lise within the cK>mmunty to daliver
increasedl encourage Ethnlc members conlritrttbon into the Communitywe INe in and additK)nally encwrage
wellbeing of community in gen8ral. W8 intand to work closely with other faith and community groups whts ha
similar goals and objectives. We intend to extfrnd our kno￿8 in Grants avali able wrthin Sussex which can
be ulilised to provlde better to thg community.
