Rainbows Hospice for Children & Young People is a purpose built 14 bedded unit in Loughborough, Leics serving life threatened & life limited children, young people & their families in the East Midlands & South Yorkshire. We aim to provide the highest quality of family centred care. We provide a research based, holistic approach to respite & terminal care, symptom control & bereavement support.

Objects: 4. Objects4.1. The Charity's objects ('Objects') are specifically restricted to promoting the relief of illness and suffering for young persons by the provision of palliative care and in such ways as the Charity shall from time to time see fit, and in particular in the East Midlands Counties of England and adjacent areas and in particular (but without prejudice to the generality whether geographical or otherwise of such object) by:4.1.1. establishing, maintaining and conducting hospices, residential nursing or convalescent homes for the reception of young persons, as defined by the Charity from time to time, of any sex and without regard to race or creed or any other personal criteria other than such medical criteria as may be defined by the Charity from time to time;4.1.2. providing and promoting the provision of palliative care, or any other relevant medical care, treatments or therapies either at a hospice or at another location to such young persons as meet the medical criteria determined by the Charity; 4.1.3. providing support and care and facilities to the members of the family of the young person being cared for by the Charity whether adult or otherwise at hospices, nursing and convalescent homes, at their own homes or any other location. 4.1.4. conducting or promoting or encouraging research into the care and treatment of persons suffering from any such illness, disability, disease or infirmity as aforesaid and particularly into the care and treatment of persons suffering from terminal illness and the care of the families of such persons and by providing for the dissemination of the results of such research;4.1.5. promoting or encouraging or assisting in the teaching or training of any persons engaged in any branch of medicine, surgery, nursery or allied services and in the teaching or training of students in any branch of medicine, surgery, nursing, allied or other complementary services; 4.1.6. by providing or assisting or encouraging the provision of spiritual help and guidance for any persons referred to in Articles 4.1.2 and 4.1.3, whether patients or families of patients or otherwise; and4.1.7. by working in partnership with other organisations to provide, and to advance and promote, palliative care of young persons.
