ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS

The Trustees are pleased to report on another successful year during which parents continued to give generously via our Gift Aid/Deeds of Covenant scheme and to them we offer our sincerest thanks. £22,148 was raised by donations from parents.

Due to COVID there was only one fundraising event for this year:

Colour Run held on Friday July 2021 this was supported by students participating in a colour run at the end of Sports Day. This raised £5,021.

The Colour Run monies for 2020 were also paid into this year’s accounts these totalled £3,812.

EXPENDITURE

The Trustees agreed to fund the installation of canopies on the School grounds. £60,000 was transferred to the school in August 2021

NOTE

:

The Scottish Widows CAF account was closed mid year and the money transferred to the Lloyds account in July 2021.

Memorial Fund — money was paid out to Gary Drostle mosaic artist and then immediately repaid by the Memorial Fund bank account to the Friends.

The Gift aid total of £10,920.75 in the 2020-21 accounts consists of £6,584 which relates to gift aid claimed on donations received in 2019-20, and £4336.75 for gift aid claimed on donations received in 2020-21.

FUTURE PLANS

The school wouid like to buy a high jump for the PE department at an approximate cost of £8,000

| report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Friends of The Holt School for the year ended 31st August 2021.

Responsibilities and basis of report

As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’). | report in respect of my examination of the accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination | have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

Independent examiner's statement

| have completed my examination. | confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

  1. Accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or

  2. The accounts do not accord with those records; or

  3. The accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fair view' which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination. | have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
