2. CONSTrruTION, OKIECTS AND POLICIES
The ¢harity was estsblished by a Deed of Constiiwion &lop￿1 on 18th April. 1990 and atnended on 13th July.
1992 which was approved by the Charity Commissioners on ?4th July, 199?

repairand scholarli stud), of the monuments of antiquiTh' in Greece and in Greek lands. including the Byzaniine
Chrisiian monumenis and all oiher Monumen￿ up to ihe time of the Greek War of Independence. the study of
life in aniiquity and research on Bl'zantine Mediei'al an and archaeolo&v and the stimulation of Inte￿$1 kn the
rine arts and the propagation of knowledge of the histoTr' of ancient and later art.
3. ACTIVITIES AND FIliANCIAL REVIEW
The accounts sei on pages 5 and 6 summarise the iransactions ofthe chariTh during ihe year. Net payments
for the year amounted to £18.474.
4. PUBLEC BENEFIT
The Council refetred to the Chariry Commissioner's general guidance on public benefit ￿'he￿ reviewing it5
aims and objectives and planning future aciivities. In panicular the Council considers how such activities
will contribute to the aims and obje£tives it h&$ set. The Council considers it has complied with its duty to
have due regard io such guidance.
5. RISK MANAGEMENT
Th¢ Council &5se&sed the major risks ro which ihe chariry is exwsed. in particular ihose related to the
operdtions and finances of the charity and are ￿1SfIed that adeqlwe si'stems are in pl￿e to mitigate any
exposure to major risks.
The Coun¢il has considered the risks arising from the covir>19 pandemic. The duration and impaci of the
covit>19 pandemic. as well as the effeaiveness of ongoing me&sures ¢0 ¢OTnbat iis continuing threat. remain
unclear. It is noi possible to estimaie ihe duration and sei'erity. of ihese consequences reliabl).. nor their impa¢t

Responsibilities and basis of rewtrrt
As the irusiees of the chariiy you are responsible for the preparation of the accounis in a¢¢ordatkce with the

I report in respecl of my examination of the charitl s accounts Gvried out under section 145 of the Aa and in
arying out my examinaiion I have followed all the applicable Llrections given by ihe Charity Commission
under section 145(iMb) of the Act.
An independeni exarninaiion does noi involve gathering all the evidence ihai M'ould be required in an audit
and consequently di)es not coi'er ail the mattets thai an auditor considers in giving their opinion on the
accounts.
The planning and conduct of an audit goes beyond the limited assurance ihat an independeni
