## **Group Scout Leader Report** 

I took over as GSL in April 2023 after being involved in the group as a Volunteer since the summer of 2022. 

In 2023 the group has attend the Thriftwood Pedal Car Olympics where we had a number of Explorers and Scouts take place. One of Explorer team won individual and team events, which was fantastic. 

We had Group camp in April at Thriftwood where we had a good attendance from all of our sections from Beavers up to Explorers. All our young people had a packed weekend of fun activities. 

Our Cubs attended District Cup Camp at Tolmers in May and joined our friends at 1st Theydon Garnon for a weekend camp in June. 

Our Beavers and Cubs had a great day at the Gilwell Funday. 

In terms of the group’s leadership team we have had a few changes. As well as myself taking over as GSL we have a new Group Chair and a Group Secretary. The three of us are keen to continue the good work done by the previous members. We also have two new Section Assistants working with our Beaver Colony. 

I would like to say thank you to all are leaders and volunteers for all the amazing work they do with our young people. I would also like to say thank you yo those people moving on from our group. They have done an amazing job. I am honoured to be leading this wonderful group.
