Structure, Governance and Management
The Presdales School Educational Trust was set up in Aprll 1992 for the following objectives:
Providing facilities for education not normally provided by ESFA
Encouraging, through financial support, a wide range of out of class educational
activities for Students, not normally provided by ESFA.
Awarding prizes to students to promote the level of educational achievement in school.
Providing for students in need of financial assistance of a kind not normally provided by
ESFA.
The trust is funded by donations by parents, most of which are gift-aided.

The administration of the trust is the responsibility of the Trustees who are elected in èCCOfdance
with the Constitution.
Flnancial Review
As at 31" May 2023, the Educational Trust had Assets in the form of Bank Balances of £556,700.
During the year, expenditure of £60,188 was incurred, the majority of which related to a £60,128
contribution to the School account for the support of the CIF fund supported Fire Door replacement
project.
Income in the year was £39,941.. £11, 835 relates to Donations from Parents and £28,106 relates to
the release of the final retention payment relating to the clarification of the usage of the fund with
the Charities Commission.

Independent Examiner
Although the increase in Income this year is likely to be temporary, the trustees acknowledge that
this has resulted in the need for the accounts to be reviewed by an Independent Examiner. The
trustee5 have appointed Fiona Jayne Richard50n IMA Cantab. ACA. ICAEW'.86358701 and she ha5
expressed her willingness to act in that capacity.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Presdales School Educational Trust
for the year ended 31" May 2023.
Responsibllities and basi5 of the report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in
accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 20111"the Act).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the
2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by
the Charity Commission under Section 1451511bl of the Act.
Independent Examinerfs ststement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention In
connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect..
l. Accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by sectlon 130 of
the Act,. or
2. The accounts do not accord with those records.
I have no concerns and have come acr055 no other matters In connection with the examination to
which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the
accounts to be reached.
