General

The Trustees are the President of the Rotary Club of Breniwood è Becket, 2nd Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer (the"Ex Officio Officers")
At annual meeting5 the Trustees agree the broad strategy, consider and monitor areas of relevance to the Trust. including fund r•ising projects, risk management and the distribution ol fundi
to the Club's spending committees. In making these policies they generally follow the V•sihes of the members of the Rotary Club ol Brents*h)od a 8ecket.
All Trustees give ol their time freely and no Trustee remuneretion V•PS paid in the year. Trustees are required to disclose all relevant Interests in accordance with the trust's pollcy,
wrthdraw from decisions where a conflict of interest arises.
Distribution Policy
The Trust distributes funds in accordance vith the wishes of the Members of Brentwood a Becket Rotary Club and has established a Charity Committee to affect this process. as is normal
throughout the Rotary Movement.
The Trust donates to local, national & international charities_ It also sponsors local events lor the local needs of the elderly, disadvantaged children and so forth. Apporopriate charities include
those sponsored by Rotary International and those suggested by members of the Rotary Club of BrentHood a Becket.
During the year the Tnjst donated more than £50k to over 36 Ioc81, national and international charities from fund accumulation and Half Marathon proceed$
The major fund-raising activrty this year has been the Half Marathon and Fun Run. This has been held in Br8ft￿od in March each year for o¥pr 38 year5.
As per last year this is organised in partnership with Brenlwood running Club, Brenlwood Theatre and St Francis Hospice
Other functions include:

Risk Management:
The Trustees require (and subsequently monitor) 5y51ems and Pfocedures to be established by the Club's spending committees lo ensure that inappropriate donations are mlnimlsed
The major operational risk relates to the Half Maralhon and Fun Run, the management of which is delegated to Rotary Club members who, in the opinion of the Trustees. have appropriato
qualifications and experience. They arrange insurance cover and seek guidance from local running clubs, the local authority, the police and rnnning organis8tions, including UK Alhletica
For the first time this event is run as a partnership with St Francis Hospice, BrenNvood Running Club and B Tentsyood Theatre
This and other events are also covered by insuranco under policies provided bt the umbrella organisation for Rotary in the United Kingdom, Rotary Intemational In Great Britain and Ireland.

Bren￿y)Od a Beckét Rotary Club will continue its fund-raising and donations policy. As Circumstances changè the Trust will •d8pt accordingly
