We deepened our links to health and social care providers over the past year lo raise awarenèss of how
our services can complement and support the wider heallhcare system and the patients that we serve. This
has positioned us lo fully participate in the new structures thal have emerged as the way that Ca￿ is being

The while paper presents a number of challengès bul it also presents a number of opportunities- not least
to bring local government, the NHS and all other key stakeholders in our system much closer together. This
enables us to speak with one Vol￿ for the benefit of patients, and their families, maximising both the
influence and role of our health and care system in the wider place shaping agenda. to keep pace with the
increasingly complex needs of people and being more reflective of local issues.
