The Trustees submit their RcpoQ together with th¢ accounts for Turvillc School Trnst for the
year ended 30 SepteTnber 2021.
Introduction
Turville School Trust 18 funded by cbarging rent on the Trust property. Other monies are raised
by donations, sw)nsorship and special cvents. Support is nccded in all of th¢sc areas 10 enable
us to continue to dcvelop and bjrther our aim5 and objectives.
Trustees Responsibilities
The comtnittcc mcTnbcrs, &g Trustees to thc Charity, are required to prepare Financial
Statcments for cach financial year which give a true and fair view of the stat of affairs of the
Chariry and the sutplus or deficit of the Clwity for that pctiod. And to:.
l. Select suitable accounting policies. see below. and then apply them consisteDtIy.
2. Make judgements and estimates that arc reasonable and prudent.
Prepare the Financial Stttetnents on the going concern basis.
4. Ensure all decisions made are for the public benefit as Tequired by the Charities
Commkssion.
The Trustees are responsible for kccping proper accounting records which disclose with
reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the Charity and to ensure that the
Financial Statements comply with the Charities Act 2011. They are also responsible for the
safeguarding of any assets of the Charity and hence for taking steps for the prevention and
detection of fraud and othcr iTrcgulanties.

Thc Financial Statement is prepared under the historical convention and according to
Ihe statement of recoTnmcndcd practice for accounting by charities.

Donations. rent and investment income are creditcd to in¢ome when received.

Exp¢nditure is cla5sificd under the principal categories of tnsurnnce, fund Taising
expendI￿re. equiptllellt. computing and communication fe￿. and holiday expenscs.
d. Reserves
The Trusts policy is to have between one alld two years expenditure in reserve.

Results
The rent and investment income retn&in static in the year. With the relaxation of tbe pandemic
lockdo￿￿, we wer¢ ablc to undertake some fund rdising activities which resulted in donations
and surpluses from tILese activities increasing fn)D] £1,025 in 2020 to £16,509.03 in 2021.
The increase in income enabled the Trust to Ca￿ out some much needed repair work to the
Trust property.
Review of Activities
Throughout the last year the Trust was able to host nearly 100 children for week long
residential holidays and day trips. The children are hosted at the Turville school whkch the
Trust owns. The TTusts main source of income is the rent generated from renting the school
building to a nursery business.
For five weeks of the summer the Trustees organise a fidl schedule of fLm activities. The
children get to turn their ha￿1 to bushcrafL horse riding. boat rides, art workshops, swimming
and a&s0¢iated activiti¢S.
The Childr￿ are all in some way considered vulnerable and these holidays are intended as a
respite, a ellance for them to enjoy bcing a chil& Most live under the povety line and face
many additional challenges such as bereavement or living in areas where gangs are prevalent
and omnipotent. Many ar¢ under the care of s(Kial service& They cotne to us from vaTiOU$
charities that work with them on a regular b&sis.
In addition to the holidays. the TTUStees raise money to give some of the families that struggle
most supermarket vouchers at Christm&s well as Christtnas gifts for many of the ¢hildTCn.
