Trustees Report
The trustees present the annual report together with the accounts for the Charity for the year ended
31 August 2024.
Purpose of charlty
The provision of funding to enhance the educational activities and envlronment available to pupils at
Cookham Rise Primary School.
The main activities in relation to this purpose are:
Organisin8 fundraising events including Summer and Christmas Fairs
Holdlng social events for parents, friends and families wlth the objectlve of fundraising for
the charity
Supporting school events by selling refreshments to ralse funds for the charity
Hosting welcome events for parents who are new to the school
Selling second hand uniform
Contrlbutlons made by voluntee
The charity is reliant upon volunteers to run the commlttee and to organise and run fundraising
activities.

The balance of the PTA and petty cash accounts at 31 August 2024 was £32,24912022: £47,903).

The year ended 31 August 2024 was another successful year for fundraising, with total funds
raised of £26,798.
The breakdown of the funds raised after expenses for the top 5 fund-raising events during the
year were as follows:

The total expenditure for the year ended 31 August 2023 was £42,452 comprised of £8,327
incurred directly in relation to fund-raising activities and £34,125 incurred to support the
purpose of the charity.
A payment of £18,230 was made to the school during the year for the installation of a running
track. £15,231 (including gift aid) was funded by a one-off parent donation to the PTA during
the prior year and £3,000 was funded by the PTA.
Additional payments of £14,953 were made to the school during the year to support
educational artivities for the pupils at Cookham Rise Primary khool.
£941 was spent on PTA expenses including PTA membership, insurance and items to be used for
future fundraising events.
Outlook
At 31 August 2024 the PTA had committed spend of £16,367 as follows:

The PTA aims to hold £2,000 as working capital. This leaves funds of approximately £13,500 to
support school projerts during 2024125.
Whilst the PTA needs to be sensitive to the current financial climate where families have less
disposable income the PTA remains positive that it can continue to raise funds to support
upcoming school projects in the coming years.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of The Parent Teacher Association of the
Cookham Rise County Primary School (the Trust) for the year ended 31 August 2024.
Responslbllltles and basls of report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in
accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act,).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the
2011 Act and in carryin8 out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by
the Charity Commission under section 145{5}Ib) of the Act.
Independent examlnerfs statement
I have completed my examlnatlon. I confirm that no materlal matters have come to my attentlon In
connection with the examination givin8 me cause to believe that in any material respect:
accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the
Act; or
2. the accounts do not accord with those records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to
which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the
accounts to be reached.
