THE OBJECTS OF THE BRITISH SECTION OF THE INTERNATIONAL COMMISSION ON IRRIGATION AND DRAINAGE SHALL BE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO ADVANCE EDUCATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION OF THE SCIENCE AND TECHNIQUES OF IRRIGATION, LAND DRAINAGE, SOIL STUDY AND FLOOD CONTROL.

**Activities:** The object of The Irrigation and Water Forum is to stimulate and promote the development and application of the science and technique of irrigation, drainage and flood control in economic and social aspects throughout Great Britain and N. Ireland.Regular meetings are held to discuss subjects in the above fields.This is achieved by holding regional conferences, seminars and symposia periodically.
