TRUSTEE REPORT FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2024-2025
OBJECTIVES
The objectlve3 of the CSCF are to assist in the rellef of suffering and preseNe and
safeguard the health of patients of Caldbeck Surgery, and the promotion of
health educatlon.
ACTIVITIES
Fundingthe purcha8e of medlcal equipment not normally provlded by the NHS
Fundlng Services not normally provided bythe NHS
A key activity 18 providing a quarterly contribution to the running costs of the
Northern Fells Minibus. This vehicle is only used In the local community and
approximately 50% of Its journeys 8re for some medical purpose such as
hospltal, optlon and dental appolntment8 tr8n8POrt for p8tlents do not have or
are unable to acce88 alternatlve tran8POrt.
Public Benefit Statement
The Trustees con81der the actlvlties, su mmar18ed above. provlde many benefits
for the health of the communlty and patlents of Caldbeck Surgery.
Achievements and Performance
Income for the year totslled £40. 951.94. Thls18 8 slgnlflcant Increase on last
year and includes Legacies from 3 former residents Audrey Johnson; Beryl Hlbbs
8nd Edith Richardson where we were the maln beneflciary of herwill.
We supported Caldbeck Surgerywlth requests for moneytowards the purchase
of a Notice Board for the Surgery and an additional fridge for the 8tor8ge of
vaccines. totalling £1, 212.50. We atso made donations to the Northen Fells
Group speciflcallyfor the Mini Bus.
Northern Fells Groups were also supported with £3, 500 towards the cost of
runningthe Mini Bus

Total Receipts for the year were £40, 951.94
Donations in memorium amounted to £40, 203.39, including Bequests in wills.

Payments
Payments in the year were a total of £3, 400
Caldbeck Surgerywere given totsl of £1, 212.50. This was a decrease of
£2,187.50 over 202312024
Northern Fells Groups were given £3, 500 towards the cost of running the Mini
Bus
The surplus between receipts and payments In the year was £36, 242.44. This
was primarily due to the legacy from Edlth Richardson where we were the maln
beneficiary of her WILL.

Reserves Pollcy
Our Reserve8 Policy Is equivalent to the lastthree year8 ch8rltable expendlture
whlch wlll be reviewed annually (i.e. allgrant expenditure whlch18 £16k) and that
any surplus fund8 wlll be Invested wlth a vlewto supporting new projects or
actlvltle8 whlch align with CFCS'S charltable objectlves. Thls wlll en8ble CSCF to
maintain a medium to Longterm funding strategy for the benefit of patients of
Caldbeck Surgery.
Structure, governance and management
CSCF is funded from Donatlons and Bequests. It is not our policy to activeLy
seek or look for fundlng from external sources or to organise fund rsisln8
activltles. We have a team of 8 Trustees who review every request for support.
and these are actloned by the Treasurerlsecretary.
Generally, we meet Annually In person as a group. Any significant issues and
requests circulated for comment and recommendation.
Where funding is provided for equipment, we do not fund a full 100% of the Net
cost (excludlng delivery and VATI. The maximum we will provide is 95% to
maintain credibility of ownership. CSCF does not own any equlpment.

During the year no payments were made to any Trustee
