Trustees do not serve for a fixed term and new trustees are appointed by the existing trustees.
The main objective5 Of the ¢harity are lal the advancement of the Christian Religion and Ibl the
relief of the poor and needy. This is achieved by making grants and loans to other relevant
charitable organisations and by grants and loans to individuals.
The funds to make grants are obtained from voluntary contributions under the gift aid scheme,
donotions, investment income and from loans from indlviduals.
ReseNe5 at the end of the year amounted to approximately 2.0 times12022 - 1.1 time51 the
level of grants made during the year ended 5 April 2023.

LONGMEAD TRUST FUND
I report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 5 April 2023, which are Set out on pages
3to7.
Respertive responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity'5 trustees
consider that an audit is not required for this year Under Section 144121 of the Charities Act
2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to..

to follow the protedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity

to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basls of Independent examinerf5 report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity
Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charitv
and a comparison of the accoLtnts presented with those records. It a150 includes consideration of
any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and 5eekin8 explanations from you a5 tru5tee5
concernin8 any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that
would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion 15 given as to whether the amounts
present a 'true and foir view, and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement
below.

Basis of preparation of Accounts.
The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the Financial Reporting
Standard applicable in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021
and with the Charities Att 2011.
Incoming resource5 are included in the statement of financial activities ISOFAI

it is more likely than nol that the trustee5 will receive the resources and
the monetary value can be measured with sufficient reliabilitv
I C I Income tax repayments relating to Gift Aitl Payments have been included a5
income of the year in which the gift aid payments were received. Any gift aid
amount received on a donation is ¢onsidered to be part of the gift and is treated
as an addition to the same fund.

income fund. There are no capital funds or restricted income funds.
