Commentary on the Accounts

The completed Pirates, Castaways & Codfish project had no income and an expenditure of £783.00. The surplus in the project at 30 June 2021 is £853.27 (£1,636.27 at 30 June 2020). This sum is restricted for use in the future on PC&C and associated projects that the Trustees consider appropriate.

  1. The accounts indicate that Gift aid income during the year was £1,291.20.

  2. Including the above, income totalled £26,115.46 (£14,388.81 in 2019/20). However the income did include internal! transfers totalling £500.00 from the General Account for transfer to RFUK Foundation. A sum of £476.00 was also received in respect of subscriptions which should have been paid into the General Account. This sum was duly transferred as an expenditure.

  3. At30 June 20271, the total funds which have already been committed amount to £1,210.02 including Shoeboxes £125.85, PC&C £853.27 and Bethany Primmer £177.00. A sum of £50.07 is also included, this being the unspent income from Business Partners which is available to use for fund raising expenses.

  4. The income was significantly higher than in previous years as a result of monies being received to fund the Jaipur Limbs project in Rwanda. A total of £16,350.34 was received from Rotary Foundation and the Rotary Cfub of Guildford. This was transferred to the Charity’s US$ Currency Account.

  5. In addition to money which appears in these accounts, the Club was also involved in helping a number of charities through associated activities where the money was paid direct by the participants to the charity.
