**Objects:** THE CHARITY’S OBJECTS (“OBJECTS”) ARE THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC ON MATTERS RELATING TO DEPENDENCE ON ALCOHOL AND DRUGS AND OTHER FORMS OF DEPENDENCE ASSOCIATED WITH COMPULSIVE BEHAVIOUR; AND THE RELIEF OF PERSONS SUFFERING FROM DEPENDENCE ON ALCOHOL AND DRUGS AND FROM OTHER FORMS OF DEPENDENCE ASSOCIATED WITH COMPULSIVE BEHAVIOUR.

**Activities:** Publication of society journals. Professional training grants (Fellowships, PhD students,Bursaries) Specific policy projects. The setting up of addictions professionals' organisations. We hold an annual conference and support other conferences. Communicate policy projects' findings to policy makers & research findings to practitioners. Maintain the society website/online resources
