development of music making
opportunities for people in South
Derbyshire and surrounding areas. It
wlll do this by. amongst other things,
making available music experiences
through the provlsion of musical and
concert opportunities and making

rehearsals for instrumentalists and
singers to further their muslcal abllity
and concerts and workshops

Achievements and Performance
SORP thrence
Through its range of ensembles and
choirs, children and young people are
able to develop their music skills
according to their ability. As well as
improving their music skills they also
learn life skills such as commitment,
discipline and teamwork. Provision is
made for pupils who require financial
support and instruments are available
for students to loan. Students are able
to perforni in many different types of
venue providing musical enrichment to
the general public both locally and
further afield.
