**Governance:** The PTA is governed by a constitution. 

**Trustee Recruitment Process:** The PTA is run by a committee of parent volunteers elected each year at the AGM meeting that deals with the formalities of committee elections and financial reviews. The newly elected team will go on to support the school through their fundraising efforts for the forthcoming year. 

## **Objectives and Activities:** 

## **Aims:** 

- 1) To develop effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school 

- 2) To engage in activities or provide facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.

All PTA activities and events are designed to raise important funds for the school to enrich the educational experiences of all children attending Pickhurst Junior Academy whilst building a strong community between the school, its pupils and families. 

## **Achievements and Performance:** 

Our treasurer’s Report for this academic year breaks down the income and expenditure for the various PTA events of 2024/2025. It has been a successful year with various key events raising funds for the school. 

## **Key Events:** 

**Fireworks (November 2024):** £2,806.63 (joint event with Pickhurst Infants PTA) **Glow Discos (November 2024:** £1,353.97 

**Elfridges (December 2024):** £2,809.63 **Wonderlicious (March 2025):** £1,271.59 **Easter Discos (April 2025):** £1,291.73 **Pickfest (July 2025):** £3,405.63 

## **Direct Contributions to the School: £13,341.82** 

This included funding for the following:
