## **– Chairperson Katie Corrigan**

It has been a vibrant and existing year returning to normality, huge thanks must go to our Centre Manager Claire, but also to our fantastic staff and volunteers who work extremely hard within Sherburn Road, supporting our centre users, and local community.

It’s been great to see the community centre back in action, from the lunch club with the support of our partners from ‘Kings Church Durham’ to the return of our face-to-face Youth Services, not to forget Parent/Carer and Toddler sessions. It was also great to see some many wonderful community events which bring together our Sherburn Road Community. I was really pleased to be able to join in the Queens Platinum Jubilee Celebrations, Halloween disco and many other community events across the year.

From all of Laurel Avenue Community Association Management Committee, thanks again to all our staff, volunteers, partners, and funders who make all our work possible. It’s been my pleasure to be Chair of such a thriving and passionate Community Centre that has a brilliant future ahead.
