THE H D & B CROMPTON CHARITABLE TRUST TRUSTEES REPORT The Trustees present their annual report and financial statements for the year ended 25 February 2024 th The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies OBJECTIVES AND AcfiviTIES The objects of the charity are:_ 11 To provide grants to charities of which the late Mrs Bessie Crompton supported during her lifetime. Mrs Bessie Crompton being the settlor of The H D & B Crompton Charitable Trust 21 To provide grants to charities and causes in the vicinity of Ramsbottom being the hometown of the late Mrs Bessie Crompton 31 To provide grants for the purpose of education for young people in the general area of Ramsbottom and East Lancashire Public Benefit The Trustees have paid due regard to guidance issued by the Charity Commission in deciding what activities the charity should undertake Activities The Trustees have reviewed the outcomes and achievements of the activities for the year to ensure that they remain focused on the charitable aims and continue to deliver benefits to the public. We have complied with the duty under the Charities Act to have due regard to the public benefit guidance published by the Commission. ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE Details of grants made during the year are provided within the report FINANCIAL REVIEW The Trustees have reviewed the Charity's ability to manage its investments and consider that the charity's investment will continue to generate cash flows sufficient to allow the charity to meet its liabilities as they fall due. RESERVES POLICY The Trustees, policy is to make grants out of income generated from investments in accordance with the Charity's objectives. The Trustees monitor the position on a regular basis.

Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ("the Act.). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5){b) of the Act. I have completed my examination.
