Governan￿ and Admini5tTrtion The Society has operated since 1886 under the terns of the Constitution. The Society is a charty ￿gIstered with the Charities Commission. charity number ICK)6413. The principal address of the Society is 24 Frewin Road London SW18 3LP. The Society is administered by a committee as defined In Its Constftution. All the Committee roles are filled by members of the Society and all paid up members are eligible ft)r any of the roles. All committee members offer themselves for re-election at the Annual General Meeting each year. The Committee members are twstee of the Charity. No trustee is paid for his or her role. During the year ended 31 August 2025 the Music Dirertor and accompanists were hired under freelance contracts. Other musicians are hired on an ad hoc basis as requi￿￿.

Public Benefft In planning our programme of muslc. the Committee is mindful of the Society's objects. Our aim is to perform a varied repertoire and to provide easy access at a reasonable pri￿ to our events and to membeiship of the Society. During the yearthe Society performed four Con￿rtS.- in November 2024- Faure Requiem and other works at St Anne's, Wandsworth: in De￿mber 2024 Christmas music and carols at St Mary Magdalene , Wand5WOrth Common, the proceeds from which were donated to the homeless charity Glass Door,. in April 2025 Palestrina's Missa Brevis and various motets at St Paul's. Clapham. and in July 2025 Handel's Dido and Aneas at St Anne'5. In December 2024 gave a cOn￿rt of Christmas music and carols at St Mary Magdalenechurch. Wandsworth Common. In April 25 the choir travelled to Antwerp in Belgium and gave two concerts. The Society values bein8 open to all singers regardless of gender. ethnicity or religion. Reduced subscription rates are offered for students and those who are unemployed. The Society does not formally auditr.on although our website explains that some experien￿ ts desirable. Potential new members are invited to join a few trial rehearsals. Reser¥es Policy The trustees consider it prudent that the Society should maintain reserves sufficient to cover the cost of at least one concert and preferably a year's expenditure. As at 31 August 2025 we held ￿serveS above this amount. In 2022-23 the choir received a £S.(K)O legacy from a former member. 2023-24, 50% was used to finance the choir's Easter concert. Handel's Messiah. It is prowsed to apply the remaining 50% against the cost of a future choir trip abroad. Financial Review Income for the year VMS £32,06212024- £29.6101.
