The Association of the Friends of Scunthorpe Co-operative Junior Choir

Committee report year ending 31[st] August 2023

Financial Review:

We report an operational surplus of £4775 and an investment profit of £1282

£2006 of the surplus reported at 31st August 2023 relates to advance ticket sales for the Centenary Gala Dinner on 4th November 2023. Expenses relating to this event are yet to be finalised but we anticipate to break even at this point.

A further £2074 of the surplus relates to a North Lincolnshire Council Grant received as a final payment for our 2021-2022 recruitment project.

To celebrate SCJC's Centenary Anniversary the choristers performed at several venues locally. The Gala Concert being the largest in terms of income, expenses and audience. SCJC provided transport to venues outside the area, along with costs relating to food and social activities to enhance the chorister experience.

The initial Capital £30,000 held in unit trusts with St James Place Wealth Management has a current value of £50998 an increase of £1282 over the

2022-2023 year.

The Trustees review these funds annually and are fully aware the value may go up or down daily. There are no plans to change the investment portfolio at this time.

The associations assets are held entirely for the furtherance of its aims and objectives. The Charity holds sufficient reserves to fulfil its policy objectives set out in the constitution.
