Deepway Centre Trust

Chairs report 2024-2025

The Centre continues to be well used by the Exminster Pre school, the Scout and Guide uniformed groups and the Woodcarvers on a weekly basis. A regular flow of private party and bookings and community events continue to be held at the Centre, including the annual village firework event.

After a period without the full complement of Trustees, its great to have two new Trustees on board to bring us back to full strength.

The Trust remains in a healthy financial position and spent sums during the year on re turfing the garden, and decoration the building. Plans are in place going forward to replace the decking area and building repairs.

With Preschool now running 50 weeks per year and every evening also booked, along with weekend parties, the Centre is just about at maximum capacity.

Exploratory talks have now started with the Parish Council around a framework for the potential expansion of the Deepway Centre, as agreed in the Exminster Neighbourhood Development plan.

I’d like to record my thanks to the Trustees for their commitment of time and expertise.
