The Charity has three Trustees:- Michael Clein Leonard Magrll Maurice Fireman, and no employees.
New trustees will be sought from well respected members of the Richmond Jewish Community, and will be selected by the existing trustees with particular emphasis on successful, professional, business or charity experience.
Its main role is to support the activities of Richmond Synagogue’s Jewish community. Its objectives are to maintain sufficient cash reserves to enable it to financially support worthwhile activities which may not otherwise be possible. It is usually funded by members of the community and has in the past, for specific major projects, undertaken successful focused fund raising.
In 2021, emerging from lockdown, the charity made a contribution to the project which the community ran concerning Holocaust education. It also made a donation to the United Synagogue (Charity number 242552) to help with the losses that running Richmond Synagogue had incurred that year.
In the last few days of 2021, we received a major legacy of £50,000 from a deceased member. The Trustees will develop a strategy to make best use of our increased resources.
