STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT

The charity was set up by Anthony Crickmay to receive the residue of his estate after his death. it was registered with the Charity Commission on 5th November, 1991.

Anthony Crickmay died on 8th January, 2020 and the residue of his estate was transferred to this charity in March and April, 2022.

OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

The aims of the charity are to:

Provide life-changing career development opportunities for creative

artists associated to the world of dance.

Advance the appreciation of the career and life work of Anthony Crickmay.

The trustees maintain contact during the year by email and telephone and meet in person once a year, usually in January, to consider applications for grants which fulfil the aims of the charity mentioned above.

In carrying out their duties the trustees have regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE

During the year ended 5th April, 2025 the trustees made 54 grants totalling £286,472 which fulfilled the aims of the charity.

RESERVES POLICY

The charity's policy on reserves is that there should be sufficient reserves to pay out the likely level of grants in the following year and to be able to cover other costs. At the year end the charity had reserves of £1,637,742 which the trustees considered to be well within this criteria.
