It is managed on a day to day b&sis by the AdmIntratOr. TnLStees are in frequent contact with each other and meet at least twice each year. AU Trustees bave an equal voice ID decision making. Ob'ectives and Activities The Tnt was astablished to administer donations raised in the U.L to support the Work of Anita Goulden with disabled and disadvantaged thildrcn and young people in Peru. The Tnt'S objective is the relief of poverty, sickness and distre&s in South Amerio in particular among children. and its main activity has bccn and remains to providc suwort to The Anita Goulden Home for disabled and disadvantaged children and young people in the town of Piur4 Dorthern Peru. Since the dcath of Anita Goulden, its foundcr and hea(L the Home has been run by PeNvian charithble &ssociations. currently the A.sociacion Civil Hogar Anith Goulden. The Home is housed in a building purchased for its use with funds donated by the Trust and owned by a Pcnwian charitable company sei up for the purpose. The Association and the Home now provide both residential and non-residential carc and therapy excI81velY to children and young people with physical an¢Vor mental disability. mostly arising from infantile cerebrn] pa]sy and who arc disadvantaged by poverty or other difficult home circumstances. The Trust's accounts are attached. I confirnj that Trustees have complied with their duty to have due regard to the 8uidanc¢ on public benefit published by th¢ Charity Commission in exercising their powers and duti. The Trust reccivcd total donations of £172,703, up from £85.939 in th¢ pr¢ceding year. Income from legacies w&$ £90,200. up from £1,220 in the preccding y¢ar. Since P¢ru i5 ¢ffcctiv¢ly within the Dollar arca in cencY tcrn]s. The Home has asked the Trust to commit to an amount of funding that is fixed in US Dollars, currently US$24,000 per calendar quarter. To match this long-terni comtnitrncnL th¢ Trust holds a substantial amount of its r&scrves in Dollars. however this does create an exposur¢ to currency fluctuations in the short temi and the Tn]st made a gain tn Sterling ternis on its Dollar dq)osits of £6,099 as Sterling weakened during th¢ y¢ar. After making donations lo the Hom¢ of S97.(W. and incurrtng c4)sts of £4.251, the Tn1 rcscrv¢s increased from £293.444 ts) £394.118.

Katlwine Stsnsfcld was Administrator of the TnLSt thrnughout the year and IM not offered hersclf for appoinlmcnt as a Tntee. Tntee8 and the Admillistrator oxe voluntee[5 and receive no remuneTation from the Tnt. Trustees kcep in regular infortllal contact and two forn]al TnLslccs' Mtttings were held during the year. Due to restrictions put in piacc in rcspoDse the Covid19 pandemic. these meetings were all conducted online. No TnteeS visited the Home during the year. but a visit to the Home was made by Sra. Annie Busc, rcprescntins of thc Tntees. Sra. Buse is bascd in Lim4 Peru and was recommended by Tnttt Kate Arthur. Publi The Trust's website is the principal vehicle for kecping donors and supporters infornied and for bringing the Trust to the attention of potential new donors. The Trust solicits donations through its web8ile and through JustGiving. The Trust continued its use of the wcbsile for publishing up to date infonnation on the Trust and the Home. News ilcms arc also circulated by email to donors or supporters who have asked to be on the n1]Ing list. A Newsletter w&s produced in February 2022 and circulatrd io rcgistcred supporters by post and ¢m&il. oulden Ho The Home provides residential and trcatment of children and young people with serious mental an(Vor physical disabilities. principally a result of infantile cerebral palsy, and many of whom r¢quir¢ int¢nsive nursing care and speeialised thernpy. Neurological &ssc55ments and tr¢atm¢nt are providcd frcc of charge by government services an(L on a voluntary b1$, by local medical professionals. Critical medical care is provided by a neighbourhood rncdi¢al ¢¢ntr¢ and. whcn r¢quircd, by th¢ local hospital. The Peruvian charitable Association thal runs the Home h&5 about 20 mmb¢rs and is lcd by a Committee, whose two-year terni of office began in the middle of 2021 and which mccts w¢¢kly. The Home requires careful financial managemenL but the local community gives a lot of support. About a dozen companie5 and a numbcr of Ilidal donors and vohmtary organisations make regular donations in kin4 whicb together provid¢ almost all th¢ Hornc's rcquircmcnts for food. medicines and supplies. The Homc also b¢n¢fits from donations of food und¢r local 8overnm¢nt social progrdmmes. Covid19 has bccn pr¢valent in P¢ru since March 2020 and the county has been among those most severely hit by the pandemic in tenns of lives lost. During the year. the county suffered a third and fourtb wave of the infection. but as in other countries. the impact was less than in earlier waves. At the Hom¢, all rcsidcnts and staff were fijlly vaccinate4( however eight residents of the Horne and some staff manbers were infec*& t1 all of them recovered well.

REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 3 AUGUST 2022 With the waning impact of Covi4 the Home has been able to progressively restore its nonnal routiDeS and activitie4 includmg recreational outings for the residents, atml visits by families. medical prOf10na1s. local Committee membern and volunteers. Some changes in organisation of the Home wcrc made. In late 2021. a new Manager of the Home w&$ appointed. She h&$ qualifications in admiIu5tration and is reported to be performing well in the mle. Residents who nOMllY attend school had been unable to do so. tnstead, a teacher was appointed WI atten41s the Home on 3 days each week. A physiotherapist h&$ be contracted, who attends once per month to monitor the condition of r&sidents and issue regular rep)rts about their mscUlar and motor development. A young man has joined the staff to fill the general services function that had been vacant since the death from Covid of Rolo Moscol in 2020. Staff training h&$ included several prcsenlations by outside specialists, mostly in physical therapy and rehabilitation. At the date of these accounts, the Home had 15 residcnts, up from 13 at the height of the Covid pandcmic. Thc Home h&$ capacity for up to 4 further residents. One new cntrant was an adolesccnt. and another was 5-year-old boy. Plans The Trust's aim is to continue to promote and administer donations and Icgacies from the UK to fund the financial needs of the Anita Goulden Home. It will also provide oversight of the use of donations including, where possible and appropriate, providing advic¢ the local Committee in Piura. The Trust requires regular financial reports from the Home and maintains regular telephone and email contsct with members of the local Cottllnittee. The Anita Goulden TnLSt was cstablished receive and administer donations in th¢ UK to 5UPPOrt the work of Anita Goulden with disabled and disadvantsged children and young people in Piura. Peru. Since the death of Anita Goulden, her work and her legacy have been continu¢d in Peru by local organisations, currently the Asociacion Civil Hogar Anita Goulden (ACHAG). Whilst the Tnt'S res¢rv¢s are *chnically unrestricted, the Tntstecs hav¢ int¢rpr¢t¢d the wishes of the donors as b¢ing cxclusively to maint&iD Anita Gould¢n's 1¢8ary by 5UPPOrt of the Anila Goulden Home and activities related to it and its bcncficiaries. In the view of Trustees, reserves are required to meet periodic18rge or c4)ital ¢xpcnditures by the Hom¢ and provide sufficicnt certainty over fillute availability of rc50urccs to enabEc ACHAG to plan and assume commitments over a rc&sonabl¢ time horizon. Periodically. and at least once a year. Trustees prepare a forecast of reserves using their best estimates of incoming fimds, investm¢Dt income. adMitratIon costs and the costs of running the Anita Goulden Home and its relat¢d prograrnmes.
