The Twslees present their Report and Financial Statements for the year ended 31 August 2025.
OBJECTIVES. ORGANISATION AND ACTIVITIES
The Fern Christian Fellowship was constituted by a declaration of trust dated the 14 June 1991 and
supplemental deed of 30 September 2000. and is a registered Charity numbered 1004057.
The principal address of the Charity is Orchard Court, Lord Lane, Haworth, Keighley. West
Yorkshire, BD22 8QP.
The objectives of the Charity are the advancement of the Christian Faith, th8 relief of persons in
need. hardship, sickness or distress and the provision of a Bible school.
The trustees have due regard lo the Charity Cornmission's guidance on public benefil.

REVIEW OF PROGRESS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
This has been 8 year of synffi¢ant ¢hallenge for our fellowship, yet one in which w& have se8n the
faithfulness of God and the strength of our Church family
Following my triple heart bypass surgery in June 2024. 1 was able lo return lo mlnislry, though in
Augu51 2025 1 recèived a diagnosis of Myeloma. Despltg these health challenges, w8 have
conllnued to minister and $8rve the L(*d.
Sadly, we lost on8 of our long-51anding m8rnbers, DelphKa Jeffrey, who pa558d away on 171h
October 2024. Wg ha¢ been visiting her regularfy in th8 rare home. and shortly before sh8 d&ed, w
went and Sang with her. Thè Gare hotnB staff w8re thrilled and amazed by this. We held a Chrislian
rÉlebration service at Oakworth GrematorSum to gwe thanks for her life and faith
We held our yearty advance at Thornleigh. Gtsnge over Sond5 from 4th to 6th Aprfl 2025. It was
well at18nded and Jonathan Edwards ministered the Wor£1 pow8rfully.
We continue to hold our weekly prayer rneelings al Orchard Court.
We continue to support thè work of Vision Minislries In Kenya. In July 2025, th8re wa$ a
devaslaling fire at the Klbera slum. FERN Fellowship sent £31KI lo help affected residents
8ssacialed with Vision Ministriès and Pastor Nicholas.
S8veral of our members are able to preach, lead and mlnister in our own w88kly Se￿ICe$ as well as
at other churches in and around the ar8a.
We have been bless8d wllh the mlni¥lry of Aaron and his broth81 Stephen who both lov8 to come to
FERN.
Tre serwi¢es continu8 to be Iivety, engaging and inspiring with the grft5 of th8 Holy Spirit being
evident in opera￿on.

aspects of ministry during tt)1s time. Batbara Edmondson. Trevor Bendrien, v8￿r￿ Wallace,
Patricia Cafvert and Tracy Hudson all contr￿>￿1￿ to keeping services running and the fello*sh

STATEMENT OF CHARITY TRUSTEES RESPONSIBILITIES
The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, Report and the financial staternenls in
accordance with the Statement of Recommended Practi￿ (FRS 1021 for charities issued by the
Charity Commission and the Charities Act 2011.
The law applicable to charities in England & Wales requires the trustees lo prepare financial
statements for each financial year which give a Irue and fair view of Ihe state of affairs of the charity
and of the incoming resources and application of resources of Ihe charity for that period.
In preparing these financial slalements, the trustees are required to..
select suitsble accounting policies and then apply them consistently;
observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP.,
make judgements and estimates Ihat are reasonable and prudent.,
stste whether applicable accounting standards have been followed, subject to any
departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements.,
prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to
presume that the charity will continue in operation.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that disclose wrth reasonable
accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable them to ensure that Ihe financial
statements comply with the Charrties Act 2011 and the provisions of the twst deed.
They are also responsible for safeguarding the assels of the charity and hence for taking reasonable
steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

RESPECTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES OF TRUSTEES AND EXAMINER
The charitls Iruslees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees considor that
an audit is not required for this year under seGlion 144121 of the Charities Act 2011 {Ihe 2011 Act), and that an
independent examination is needed.
It Is my responsibility lo..
examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act.,
follow the procedures laid down in the Ggneral Directions given by the Charty Commission
under section 14515llbl of the 2011 Act., and
stale whether particular matters have come to my attention.
BASIS OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT
My examination was carried out in accordance with General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An
examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by Ihe charity and a comparison of the a￿ountS
presented with those records. 11 also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the
accounts, and seeking explarTrations from you as trustees concerning any such mallers. The procedLFres
undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be Fequired in an audiL arid consequently no opinion is
given as to whether the accounts present a 'lrue and fair view and the report is limited to those matters sel out
in the statement below.

In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
which gives me reasonable cause to believe that. in any material respect. the requirements

The following are the more important Accounting Policies adopted by the Charity..
al BASIS OF PREPARATION
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Statement of Recommended
Practice.. Accounting and Reporting by Charities preparing their accounts in accordance wlh the Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021 issued October 2019 and with
the Charities Act 2011.

General funds are unrestricted funds which are available for use at the diSc￿tron of the trustees in
furtheran￿ of the general objectives of the charity and which have not been designated for other purposès.
Designated funds Comprise unrestricled funds that have been sel aside by tho trustees for particular
purposes. Restricted funds are funds which are lo be used in accordance with specific reslriGtions imposed
by donors or which have beer¥ raised by the charity for particular purposes. The cost of raislng and
administering such funds are charged against the specific fund.
