The object of the Company is to educate the public in the genre of musical theatre arts to further the development of public appreciation and taste in the said arts to assist and further such charitable institutions and charitable purposes as the Committee shall from time to time determine.

Back following the pandemic, we produced two shows in 2022, Shrek the Musical and Evita.

Local audiences were thrilled to be back after the enforced break!

Due to the vocal complexities of Evita, we did not perform a concert this year.

Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)

To encourage anyone interested in musical theatre to become part of the company. The company members ages range from 16-70 and children are also encouraged to be part of shows which allow for their participation.

Back following the pandemic, we produced two shows in 2022, Shrek the Summary of the main Musical and Evita. The former was nominated and subsequently won the achievements of the charity West Midlands NODA award for ‘Best Musical in 2022’ during the year

Section E Financial review

Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves

The cost of producing shows is currently around the £25,000 mark and the company aims to have a reserve equivalent of at least two productions.

Further fund-raising activities have been reintroduced following the pandemic in order to bolster funds and support the spiralling utility costs.
