prewous year5 due to the impact ol the CovKI-19 p3Trdernic. When the first lock(lowm
started in March 2020. we were still recet¥ing requests for help from p￿pIe who had
been offefed accommL¥Jabon but wrth no fumrture. Our staff h￿1 been fudoughed lyJt
we We￿ able to deliver g(x)ds by calliTrJ upon many vdunteers who were prepared
lo to their plight. We fdlowed all the gumyelines of Ihe Reuse Network and
onty del￿erert lo empty sanrtlsed pr(perbes. Towards the end of the hxkdovm, our
ware￿)uSe was becony.ng 3h)rt ol sc¥ne rtems l*cause we were not cdlecting fresh
stock.
At this sta￿, wr C(#)￿ at Daventy Dtskn"ct Ctyjnal, Ajan Bums, made our r*d for
ftsmrture and white gcths publiased on DDC Web￿te and wrth social media we
were able lo CO1￿¢1 fvmrture and hwsehold effects outsKle Of￿1r priperlies. Alan
aLw made avail3b￿ a srnall factory unrt so Ihat we cculd stwe extra gc￿S and
Optsm￿ space whlst the waste di5rK6at faakn'es dosed.
Th6 operatthal figu￿$ for Davènty Contact over thè past twèfve n￿nthS shown on
pages 5 & 6 Inth"cate that our ￿l￿¢t￿)n9 were actually hsgher by 41% whereas our
detsvenes were only slKJhtly d17wn by 7% compared 2019- 20. The nurnber of
1amil￿S helped were almost the same bul the number of iThliwdtols helped were
dowm 30% compared wth 2019- 20.1 want to thank our worTrderful staff arTrd all WT
amazing volunteers wtrx> have ernalAed all of the wue5ts for help to have take
pL3ce. EveryorTre invdved at Daventy Contact has a heart to help 3fryone who
